The ICAR Mizoram Centre, Kolasib conducted training programme cum input distribution on 17th December, 2024 at ICAR Conference Hall, Kolasib & 18th December, 2024 at Lengpui VC Hall, Mamit district under Tribal Sub-Plan (TSP).
        A total of 104 farmers from different villages of Kolasib and Mamit district participated in the programme. The farmers were given training on Scientific management and feeding practices of Backyard poultry, diseases of poultry and their bio-security measures, health management for profitable backyard poultry farming, Scientific poultry farming for sustainable livelihood, care and management of goat etc. The farmers discussed with the expert on the problems faced on the aspect of animal health and management. A total of 2040 chicks, 4 nos. of goat kid, 100 nos. of poultry feederer, 100 nos. of poultry waterer and several veterinary medicines were distributed to the farmers. The programme was coordinated by Dr. Lalhruaipuii, Senior Scientist (Vety Microbiology), Dr. Blessa Sailo, Senior Scientist (Vety Public Health) with coordination of Dr. Vanlalhruaia Hnamte, Sr. Scientist & Head, KVK, Mamit and Dr. C. Rinawma, SMS (Animal Science), KVK, Mamit.
